THE ISLE OF MAN
Located in the middle of Irish sea between the coastlines of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, you’ll find the beautiful Island the Isle of Man.
At just 33 miles in length and 13.5 miles wide with 100 miles of coastline. The Isle of Man’s strong identity is due in part to its independence and the fact that the Island is self-governing. It has the oldest continuous parliament in the world, Tynwald, which dates back over 1,000 years, and don’t forget it’s home the world famous annual TT Races.
Douglas is the islands capital and is home to the islands Sea Terminal (where the ferry arrives and departs) and features an extensive array of Bars, Clubs, Casino, Restaurants. During the TT festival Douglas is home to the evening entertainment on Douglas Promenade (Race week only) and is also the location of the TT Village which consists of the courses Start/Finish line, TT Grandstand and TT Paddock. Douglas is 20 miles from the islands airport ‘Ronaldsway’ and is the main hub for the islands transport system. From here you can take a bus to any location on the island.
THE TT VILLAGE
Located in Nobles Park the TT Village is home to the iconic TT Grandstand where fans can watch the races unfold with the pits in full view, start/finish line and witness the scouts on the historic score board.
Within the village you will also find the TT Paddock of which entrance is free, Official Hospitality suite, food and drink outlets, merchandise stalls and shops. Another addition to the Village is the Nobles Park Fanzone grandstand which is located at the return lane of the race – this is where the riders come off the track at the end of the race.
From the village you can get to more vantage points than just the grandstand. Within a 10 minute walk you can be at St Ninnians crossroads where the riders start the Bray Hill decent. Walk a little further and you can be watching at the bottom of Bray Hill a visit here is a must!
This is an action packed area and is a must for any TT visitor!
THE CLAREMONT HOTEL
